Sam

once i again i am writing some bad news down.

sam was killed today.

he was caught off duty, and it looked like he was stealing his own cows. even though people dint know it was his cow.

but i tried to stop the killing. but of course they wouldnt listen to me. I am just a 'boy'.  I wish this war never couldve happen. it has caused so much hurt and death. I have lost half of my family.

i am the only man in the house. and now i live with my mother. but it is still very lonely. 

i dont think im going to write in here for a while. so, good bye

Father

So i have some bad news. Me and father went on a trip to verplanks. and on our way there we were stopped by some cowboys. it wasnt very pleasant. but on our way back, father went way ahead of me, but when i went to go see how far he was, he wasnt there! And when i got home he still wasnt there! But months later i did find out what happened. He was taken to a british jail boat. And he died there. i couldnt believe that his own people killed him! he as for the british and they took him away! it makes me very upset. I wonder if Sam knows?

Sam Came Home

Dear Journal,

Its me again, Tim Meeker.

Sam came home today!

But there was a huge fight between him and father.

It was about sam being in the war and him trying to steal the Brown Bess. Thats my dad's gun. Almost every man in Redding has one.

Anyway, They were talking about how sam was going to go to war, and my dad doesn't want him to. Because he has been in war, and many of his friends have died,and he doesn't want same to die. But Sam didn't care what my father said.

Sam and Father really don't agree with alot of things.

Sam is on the Rebellions(americans) side,

while Father is a Tory(british).

So sam is leaving tomorrow morning,but i think I'm the only one who knows.I hope nothing bad happens to him.
